In 2007 Maxwell was commissioned to create an installation in the reception area of a new office development in Victoria, London Inspired by his electroplating experiments Maxwell created a large suspended sculpture representing a snapshot of the moving fragments and particles.

Entitled 'Flux' the sculpture consists of 250 magnetic hooks supporting nearly one thousand copper and lead fragments attached to strands of microfilament.
